The National Lesbian and Gay Law Association Supports ABA's Young Lawyers' Division and AIDS Coordinating Committee as they ANSWER THE CALL!

"HIV/AIDS Law and Practice: From Nuts & Bolts to Cutting Edge," the spring conference of ABA YLD and the AIDS Coordinating Committee will take place May 18-20, 2006, in Portland, Oregon, offering all attendees opportunities for learning, teambuilding and networking. The conference is open to both ABA and non-ABA members.

Both new and seasoned practitioners of HIV/AIDS-related law and advocacy will explore complex legal issues, exchange practice strategies, and strengthen bonds as a community of advocates.  Also featured will be YLD's national public service project, Answering the Call, which includes a video/DVD, written materials and programming that will enable young lawyers to reach out to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and to HIV/AIDS organizations.  In addition to programming, there is a welcome party on Thursday and a Friday night social!  And yes, NLGLA and its various representatives from the YLD and the AIDS Committee will be there!

You may register for the HIV/AIDS Law and Practice Conference at $125 for ABA members and $150 for non-members which includes all programs, two luncheons, the Friday night social event and a binder of printed materials.  Young Lawyers can register for the YLD conference at www.abayld.org at no registration fee, but tickets for the Friday night social event must be purchased individually.  Questions?  Contact the Young Lawyers Division at (312) 988-5671, www.abayld.org, or the AIDS Coordinating Committee at (202) 662-1025, www.abanet.org/AIDS/conferences/home.html
