Call for Workshop Proposals

Lavender Law aims to provide the most challenging and rewarding learning experiences possible for our attendees and presenters. This year, Lavender Law will bring some of the nation's top academics, impact litigators, lobbyists and practitioners to the CLE Conference.
Lavender Law 2008—San Francisco, the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Lavender Law, will feature two dozen workshops on cutting-edge legal issues affecting LGBT individuals and the community on Friday, September 5th and Saturday, September 6th (as well as during the Career Fair on Thursday, September 4th).
Topics covered in past conferences included practical litigation and transactional skills, constitutional law developments, estate planning and drafting, employment discrimination, HIV/AIDS, immigration, domestic violence, the Solomon Amendment and other LGBT law student group management issues, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell and other military matters, and issues affecting out legal practitioners in the profession from solo practice to large firms.
The deadline for proposals is March 1st.

Attention Members: Attend the February 2008 NLGLA Board Meeting in Los Angeles!
During the American Bar Association Mid-Year Meeting in Los Angeles (February 6 - 12, 2008), the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association Board of Directors will convene for its first meeting of 2008.
New this year, NLGLA members are welcome to sit-in on the proceedings, but only valid members with current, paid membership dues will be permitted to attend. The Board of Directors will meet on Saturday, February 9th from 9am to 5pm.
