NIU Tragedy: Responding to Hate
The shooting tragedy at Northern Illinois University has recently faced additional struggle: protesting at victims funerals by Westboro Baptist Church. The school took an honorable and respectful stance towards the organization, documented on the NIU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Community Resources website and in The Chicago Method Reporter.
